Program Manager:
Responsibilities:
As the Program Manager, you will:
- Key point of contact with the customer; address issues and concerns efficiently, effectively and timely
- Proactive coordination of team activities in planning, problem solving, decision making and risk management to ensure continued support of program requirements
- Assist in establishing the program controls, or the processes, procedures, reporting, etc., required to manage the program
- Lead the overall program and monitor progress to ensure that milestones are being met across the project.
- Manage the program budget
- Manage the risks and issues that might arise over the course of the program life cycle and take measures to correct them when they occur.
- Coordinate the project and use of resources and involved in the project to make sure that deliverables are aligned.
- Responsible for overall management of product launch into the production environment
- Lead program reviews and establish a cadence and process to ensure that all necessary project management documents are executed to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget consistent with customer’s expectations
- Understand and develop leading versus lagging metrics
- Develop and execute program corrective action strategies
- Operate in a team environment to help meet or exceed customer expectations
- Responsible for daily management through the life cycle of the program
- Ensure customer needs are addressed by communicating to the management team and requesting necessary resources to ensure needs are supported in a cost effective, timely manner
- Proactive problem solving using several established methods
- Act as advisor on overall quality of relationship, seeks opportunities, pull resources and implements actions to improve and solidify customer relationship
- Apply knowledge of company processes, infrastructure, polices and resources to plan, commit, and meet customer objectives
Experience and Skills:
This might be the job for you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related filed
- Minimum of 7 years of program management experience
- Solid leadership and management skills
- Experience throughout the program lifecycle from development through sustainment.
- Understanding of lean and process improvement principles
- A working understanding of earned value principles, strong communication skills, proven track record of exceptional customer satisfaction and the ability to provide leadership across cross-functional teams
- Successful track record in managing complex programs as a prime or subcontractor
- Demonstrated success in managing manpower planning, project reviews, scheduling, and budget control
- Experience with metrics for assessing and reporting program progress, productivity, and variance analysis
- ISO 13485 Standard Experience
- PMP certification is preferred
